WC/WCX Test

Our WC/WCX has been moved to September this year due to a conflict with a hunt test on our original date. The date is 9/6/08 at Dale Creek Gundogs in Honey Creek, WI The test will start at 9 a.m., pre-entries only, ducks will be used. Entry info at www.entryexpress.net, search under "all events" or "specialty". Entries close on 8/28 so don't delay!

We had an educational booth at the Wisconsin Dog Fair booth November 4th at Alliant Energy Center, Madison, WI

We held our second annual WC/AWC test on August 12th, 2007. We had 33 dogs in the WC with 15 passing and 5 dogs in the AWC with 2 passing. Thank you to Tom Waite at Dalecreek Gundogs, our judge Mark Holcomb and all of the people who worked throwing, gunning, running, etc. and helped make our test a success. We also held a conformation certificate with judges Jeff Ingelli and Lloyd Graser going over 9 dogs. All 9 dogs passed the CC.

We had an educational booth as well as did a retrieving demo at the World of Dogs at the Wisconsin State Fair August 6th, 2007. Our club won 2 firsts and 1 second in the four different club competition categories.

August 7th, 2006 we had an educational booth at the WI State Fair World of Dogs at the State Fair Grounds in West Allis, WI There is a competition among all of the breed clubs and kennel clubs for booth awards each year. Badger LRC took 3 firsts and a 4th in the booth competition giving us BEST Booth Overall for the 2nd year in a row!

We offered a Working Certificate/Advance Working Certificate Test on August 19th, 2006. The test was held at Dale Creek Gundogs and we had a wonderful turn out of 28 dogs in the WC and 11 in the AWC. 17 dogs passed the WC and 6 passed the AWC. Judge John Lotzgesell did a wonderful job of setting up a fair test and encouraging those who are new to field events. A special thanks to Tom Waite at Dale Creek Gundogs for his wonderful help with our test.
